MOOTHY AL-NWAISIR   موضي النويسر

Moothy Al-Nwaisir (b. 1991) is a Saudi-American painter and illustrator. Her paintings are particularly influenced by the forms and seasonal rhythms of her hometown of Jeddah. Their palette of mossy greens, dusky pinks, muddied beiges and greige and the occasional grimy yellow are redolent of the city’s washed-out walls and building facades, while her abstract compositions speak to its modernist architecture. Over time, Al-Nwaisir has developed a distinctive visual language characterised by childlike doodles, loose paint strokes, and drip painting, and a layered mixed-media technique.  She has a BA in Illustration from the University for Creative Arts in London, and also runs a sustainable fashion business.

موضي النويسر (مواليد 1991) رسامة ورسامة توضيحية سعودية-أمريكية. تتأثر لوحاتها بشكل خاص بأشكال وأنماط المواسم في مسقط رأسها جدة.  تتناغم لوحاتها الملونة بالأخضر الحمضي والوردي الداكن والألوان البيج الطينية واللون الرمادي والأصفر العكر المتكرر مع جدران المدينة الباهتة وواجهات المباني، في حين تعكس تكويناتها التجريدية معمارها الحديث.  طورت النويسر، على مر الوقت، لغة بصرية مميزة تتميز بالرسومات الطفولية والفرشاة اللونية الفضفاضة والرسم بالتنقيط، وتقنية الوسائط المختلطة المتداخلة. حازت على درجة البكالوريوس في الرسم الإيضاحي من جامعة الفنون الإبداعية في لندن، كما تعمل في مجال الأزياء المستدامة.
